Isola Madre tour description
The Isola Madre is the largest of the Borromean islands. An immense botanical garden, where thousands of varieties of plants recreate their own habitat and grow vigorously, creating curious chromatic combinations that would leave even the boldest painter amazed. The first works of transformation in a private residence were made by Count Lancillotto Borromeo at the beginning of the 16th century. The palace is interesting for the perfectly restored antique rooms. The exhibition of “Teatrini delle Marionette” of the ’600 /’ 800 is awesome.
